050517-PiaWurtzbach_PUSH.jpgPia Wurtzbach finally took the time to speak up amid the endless controversies that have been hounding her.

During her contract signing as the UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for Asia and Pacific, Miss Universe 2015 admitted that she doesn’t let them affect her.

“I just continue on working. Alam ko na it’s really part of the job,” she began.

Pia recognized the fact that she’s facing a lot of things at the moment.

“Sometimes you get a lot of stones thrown at you, but that’s how it is,” she said.

Despite everything, the titleholder remains positive that she can triumph over the issues.

“I think I’ve gone through a lot already and I know how to handle certain situations,” said Pia.

“But that doesn’t take away my focus from the real issues on what I really have to do as Miss Universe ambassador... new ambassador for UNAIDS," she continued.

Pia’s boyfriend Marlon Stockinger recently figured in a controversy after model Kit Barraquias claimed that he was allegedly the biological father of her twins.

The beauty queen, in a previous interview, asked if the press got the “right Marlon” because “There’s a lot of Marlons.” Pia claimed in that interview that she doesn’t know anything about that.

Just a week ago though, Marlon got his followers curious when he posted a photo of themselves with an intriguing caption of “nothing’s changed.”

Quite interestingly, Pia opted not to comment about Marlon’s post.

“I’m still a hardworking Binibini and Miss Universe,” she said with a smile.

With all the issues she’s facing, Pia emphasized that she would like to focus more on her HIV awareness advocacy.
