While she’s thrilled to be returning to primetime television, Kathryn Bernardo admitted that is also quite pressured that she will be the successor of Angel Locsin in the Lobo-Imortal series.
Kathryn, opposite her perennial partner Daniel Padilla, are headlining the third installment of the series titled La Luna Sangre which is set to premiere on Kapamilya primetime soon.
Angel and Piolo Pascual played the roles of Lyka and Noah, respectively, in the first installment titled Lobo in 2008. Its sequel Imortal in 2010 was headlined by Angel and John Lloyd Cruz as Lia and Mateo, respectively.
John Lloyd and Angel have a special participation in La Luna Sangre. This was confirmed by a recent teaser released by Star Creatives on their official Facebook page.
"Sila ‘yung may karapatan magsimula ng kwento kasi project nila ito, and yung binigay nilang effort na magtaping ng ilang days para dito sobrang masaya kami talaga," Kathryn said in an interview during the opening of her new business venture called KathNails.
Kathryn also admitted that she feels somehow pressured to carry on Angel’s iconic show.
She explained, "Kasi ang galing niya! Tapos alam natin kung gaano niya kagaling sa fight scenes.”
She likewise lauded Angel’s expertise not only in action scenes but also in the rom-com arena.
"All-in-one siya, kaya nakaka-pressure talaga, especially sa action kasi bago yun sa'kin," she said.

To this she said, “Basta maraming possibilities sa show na’to and kung mangyari ‘yun sobrang magiging masaya ako kasi isa sila sa tinitingala ko dito sa industriyang ito.”
Meanwhile, Kathryn happily talked about their preparations for their new project.
"Nagte-training kami ngayon ng wushu, kasi binasa ko yung script puro fight scenes siya. So, hindi ko alam kung paano siya mangyayari, but then masasabi ko na ako mismo nung binabasa ko yung script, sobrang na-excite ako,” she said.
The new Box Office Queen is hoping for viewers will appreciate the show.
"As in, hindi ko siya tinigilan kahapon hangga't natapos yung first week na 'yon. So, sana gano'n din ma-feel nila kasi naiimagine ko na siya kung paano nila gagawin,” she said about reading their show’s script.
In parting, Kathryn shared that their fans need not wait any longer for their show.
"Malapit na talaga! I-a-announce na siya soon, kaya konting-konting hintay na lang," she said.
