The team of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo from The Voice of the Philippines has definitely produced a lot of successful artists such as Lyca Gairanod, Darren Espanto, Morissette Amon, Klarisse de Guzman, and Jason Dy.
Another alumnus of her team is starting to make a name for himself in the industry and his name is Poppert Bernadas. He joined the second season of the hit reality singing competition. This original member of the Ryan Cayabyab Singers was one of the 4-chair turners during the Blind Auditions when he performed his impressive rendition of “Luha” by Aegis.
Two years after his stint on The Voice, Poppert has released a new single entitled “Go With the Flow,” from his own album with the same title. He himself penned the song a year ago as a birthday gift to his supporters. He intended to sing it on his own as a “hugot” song but it slowly evolved into a light and upbeat single with an uplifting message.
He shares, “I am so proud that my single turned out to be a perfect reminder that whatever circumstance or situation we have in our lives, it is very important to listen to our heart, roll with the punches and move on with this journey called life.”
“Go with the Flow” made it to #19 on iTunes Philippines shortly after its release and it was one of the few OPM titles that made it to its Top 200 Chart. Due to daily online votes and requests, the official music video was also steadily climbing up local music video charts and countdowns.
Poppert, who originated the role of Kenny in the hit jukebox musical “Rak of Aegis,” sought the help of fellow theater artists for the music video. Just like the song title, it is shot in one continuous flow.
