Judy Ann Santos reveals her secret to losing all the post-pregnancy weight last year.

050217-JudyAnn_PUSH.jpgAfter giving birth to her third child last year, Judy Ann Santos shared what she used as her inspiration for losing most of her post-pregnancy weight. “Itong pregnancy ko kay Luna umabot ako ng 172. Ngayon nasa 140 ako. So mga 15-20 pounds more maybe. Pero hindi naman actually yung liit ng waistline ang hinahabol ko, yung fitness, ma-reach yung highest energy as much as possible, maging healthy. Susunod naman yung katawan dun eh. Pero ang goal talaga ngayon is yung to look good muna kasi alam mo naman yung bashers. So kung may isa mang nagawang maganda ang mga bashers sa akin ay yung maliban sa motivation ay binigyan nila ng ibang klaseng elemento yung workout ko ngayon. Work in progress rin kasi itong construction ng katawan ko so pagka nasa talagang fighting form na ako at puwede ko na iwanan ng husto yung mga inakay ko, okay na. Puwede na po (ako magtodo trabaho),” she shared.

The Bet on Your Baby host said her top priority in working out was never just to lose weight. “Ang goal ko lang ngayon is to be stronger and fitter just to be able to be energetic enough para mahawakan ko ng husto yung mga bata, maalagaan ko sila, makapaglaro kami. Simple lang ang gusto ko, ang masamahan sila sa journey nila hanggang makapag-asawa sila. Pero malayo pa yun (laughs),” she explained.

Aside from sticking to a low carb high protein diet and working out three to four times a week, Juday said her diet consists more of proper eating and choosing to eat more natural sugars.

During her recent family trip to the U.S, Juday said she got quite the unexpected workout. “Ang malakas makapagpapayat yung Luna, alam mo yung Luna? Sa ibang bansa, yung hahabol, papaliguan, patulugin. Masaya kasi nag-lose ako ng mga five pounds sa America (laughs) pero ang dami naming na-discover sa mga anak namin sa trip namin na yun. So more than anything, more than losing the pounds, yung realization na after the trip I need to get more fitter, I need to get more healthier for my family. That’s really the goal. Wala na nga akong pakialam kung anong magiging itsura ko. It’s more for them,” she admitted.

The Kapamilya host said she learned a lot about her kids especially Luna during their vacation abroad. “Every child is different. Every child is really a blessing. Itong si Luna lahat ng kalikutan napunta sa kanya. Ako yung napapagod pag pinapanuod ko pa lang siya. Napaka-cute na bata pero napakalikot. Yung trip namin sa States napakasaya niya kasi ang dami naming na-discover sa mga anak namin, na they could actually be independent without their yayas. And it’s actually healthy for every family to go abroad ng walang kasamang yaya, na kayo lang kasi makikilala mo sila ng husto eh. Mas nalalaman mo kung ano talaga yung needs nila. With Luna it was really a test of everything, it was a test of patience, a test of hihingi ka ng wisdom kay Lord, kasi nakakaawa yung bata eh kasi jumetlag, first ride niya ng plane mahaba agad. Tapos may different time zone agad na haharapin. So nahirapan din si Luna sa part na yan pero masayahin naman yung bata. At saka ramdam na ramdam ko yung pagiging nanay ko at kilig na kilig din naman ako sa moment na ayaw niya humiwalay sa akin. Gustong gusto ko yun. Gusto ko nandiyan lang siya lagi kahit yung magbabanyo ako susunod siya sa akin. Ayaw niya akong nahihiwalay. Nakakakilig naman talaga,” she shared.

Even though it was challenging to not have a yaya during their trip, Juday admitted she looks forward to the chance to do it again with her growing family. “Siguro kung halimbawang hindi naman ganun kahirap umalis ng bansa para lang makasama namin ng ganun kabongga yung mga anak namin, puwede namin siya gawin three times a year. Pero dahil inipon namin siya mga once in two years. Ipon ipon, hanap ng promo ticket, hanap tayo ng mga moments na bakasyon ng mga bata tapos tambak tayo ng trabaho tapos leave, ganyan. Tapos pagbalik trabaho ulit,” she added.
