Sir Roger Moore, who is popular for his role as the British secret agent James Bond in seven feature films such as “Live and Let Die” and the “Spy Who Loved Me,” passed away today, May 22 after battling cancer. He was 89.
The English actor’s family broke the sad news on Twitter and said there will be a private funeral in Monaco, where he is also a resident.
Sir Roger was given the Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2003 for his several humanitarian works. He was also awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2008.
