Bea Alonzo is still overwhelmed by the support that her onscreen partnership with Ian Veneracion has been receiving from teleserye viewers. The actress admitted that she did not expect such a massive following for their pairing.
“Thank you sa lahat ng nanood. Ito talaga hindi kashowbizan hindi ko in-expect na magkakakroon ng fan base ang Tondeng,” she said in an interview with PUSH.
Bea attributed the success of their team-up to the scriptwriters and the directors of the soap. “Kasi when you look at me and kuya Ian, ni papa Ian, hindi mo naman iisipin na we’re bagay di ba? But mainly it’s because of the story, because of the characters, kaya kami nagustuhan o kaya sila nagro-root for us so very blessed to have gotten such a material,” she said.
It has been a while since Bea starred on a television series so she is thankful that the viewers have been really supportive. “’Yung huli is Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon with Paulo (Avelino) so minsan lang ako nagte-TV so nakakatuwa na maganda ang pagtanggap nila sa soap na ‘to,” she stated.
The actress also expressed her elation for Gerald Anderson (who is currently romantically linked to her) for the success of his reunion project with Kim Chiu. “I am very happy for them and I haven’t seen an episode but I am bound to watch one,” she said.
