Jodi Sta. Maria says that the moviegoers can expect a ‘tagisan ng abs’ in their film ‘Dear Other Self’
Jodi Sta. Maria was quick to clarify that there was nothing malicious when she and Joseph Marco shot the topless scene together for their movie Dear Other Self.
“Wala namang malisya. May mga bagay lang na kailangan mong gawin para sa eksena,” the ABS-CBN actress told entertainment reporters during their film’s press conference.
When teased to share as to whether or not she appreciated Joseph’s toned abs, Jodi reiterated that it wasn’t what caught her attention.
“Hindi ko na-appreciate yung pandesal,” she said with a laugh.
“Pero ang na-appreciate ko sa kanya is yung process kung paano niya nakuha yung pandesal,” she continued.
Jodi especially noted that “it takes a lot of determination and time to keep your body fit.”
Aside from Joseph, Jodi is also working with Xian Lim on the film.
That said, can the moviegoers expect a topless scene from Xian as well?
Jodi quipped, “Yun ang abangan ninyo, ang tagisan ng abs!”
The seasoned star played it coy about the subject despite being prodded by the press.
“Kailangang panoorin mo. Basta ang clue dito, may tagisan. Hanggang dun lang ang masasabi ko,” she said.
Prior to working with Xian and Joseph, Jodi had the chance of working with two married leading men in the persons of Richard Yap and Ian Veneracion for their movie The Achy Breaky Hearts.
According to Jodi, there’s really not much difference with the fact that she’s worked with two new leading men who are both younger than her.
“But I have to say, working with both Xian and (Joseph) Marco for the first time, that they are both very professional and dedicated actors,” she explained.
She noted that they were both a joy to work with.
“They come to the set on time, and well prepared. Masarap sila parehong katrabaho,” she said.
Catch Jodi, Xian, and Joseph in their first film Dear Other Self in cinemas nationwide starting May 17.
