Gerald reiterates that the reunion is really aimed at giving back to the solid fans of their tandem
Gerald Anderson is happily surprised that fans and celebrities are appreciating his latest magazine cover with returning love team Kim Chiu.
The Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin stars are on the cover of Metro Magazine’s April Body Issue which was released the other day.
“I think ‘yung pinost ko ang pinakamarami atang likes sa Instagram ko eh,” Gerald started in an exclusive interview with Push at the fundraising anniversary dinner of his K9 Search and Rescue organization The Gerald Anderson Foundation on Wednesday evening.
He continued, “So nakakatuwa siyempre.
Gerald was pertaining to his 2009 cover shoot with Kim for the same magazine.
Gerald reiterates the main goal for the Kimerald reunion.
Something like gusto ko mag-give back,” he said.
The actor is currently working with Kim on their reunion soap Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin along with Coleen Garcia and Jake Cuenca.
“Nakakatuwa kasi ipapalabas na ‘yung show namin malapit na and napaka-exciting nung pagbabagong mangyayari,” he said. “Maraming adjustments pero at the end of the day sobrang masaya ako kasi ipapalabas na.”
Gerald is confident about the output of their project. The last time that Kimerald worked together was in 2012 for the film 24/7 In Love.
The Gerald Anderson Foundation
Meanwhile, Gerald remains in awe that his foundation has reached its first year.
Tapos si Tito Martin [Nievera] pa, wala akong masabi sobra,” he said.
Gerald’s fundraising dinner saw performances not only from the Concert King but also from Piolo Pascual, Rayver Cruz, EA Guzman, Zeus Collins, Young JV and Sam Milby.
Having conquered that phase, Gerald now hopes to be able to do more with their foundation in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard.
“Future plan ko talaga is ‘yung K-9 Hospital ng Philippine Coast Guard at pinangako ko talaga na ako ang pupuno ng laman nun from this dinner,” he said.
The actor-athlete admitted, though that his new goal won’t come easy.
