EXCLUSIVE: Robi Domingo shares lessons he’s learned after a breakup

040217-RobiDomingo.jpgAs one of the hosts of the celebrity weekend challenge show I Can Do That, Robi Domingo said his work schedule is filling up again this year. After announcing his breakup with Gretchen Ho last month, the 27-year-old host said the whole experience has made him realize something as a person. “Because of the things that have happened, I can prove to myself that I can be really honest with myself and be honest to others,” he admitted during the ABS-CBN trade launch last March 30 in Pasay city.

Robi said that if there are lessons he has learned from the recent changes in his life, there are two things that stand out. “One is you should be fair to everything, fair to yourself and fair to others. I’ll be blurry with that statement pero that’s how I feel right now. And siguro just go with your passion kasi it will go a long way. One thing I realized din, if you love something so much in time it will love you back,” he shared.

When he’s not at work, Robi said he is focusing again on going back to his musical roots by rediscovering his love for playing the piano. “I’ve been doing piano covers which I post on Instagram. Recent piano cover I did was ‘Ni Yao De Ai’ by F4 (from Meteor Garden). Yung mga ganung feels. Nakakatuwa na people appreciate and they are learning that I can play the piano and stuff. I’ve also been playing basketball,” he said.

The I Can Do That host said he also enjoys being a regular guy and going on morning rides without getting noticed in public. “I’ve been biking a lot. Ngayon mas binibigyan ko siya ng pansin. Kasi I hated biking primarily because I don’t want to spend. I bike on the streets dito lang. I go to Fairview kasi taga-Commonwealth ako eh kaya umaabot ako dun pag umaga. I bike by myself. Medyo hindi safe pero at least because of my biking experiences nakikita ko kasi yung buhay outside the studio. Minsan naka-mask ako namimili ako ng mangga, mga kung anu-ano sa palengke. Wala akong dalang phone. Wala akong dalang kahit ano except P200 kung sakaling may makita akong masarap bilhin,” he added.
