Fashion designer Cary Santiago heads Cebu based pageant for transgender women

“This has become my advocacy. So many of you have asked me not to stop. It’s unfortunate that pageants for the LGBTQ community are held in gutters, behind derelict buildings. It’s unfortunate. I told myself before, one day, I’m going to elevate that, and one day this will happen,” sabi ni Cary.

Paula Vega ng Negros Occidental as Queen International, Stephie Cabahug ng Iloilo as Queen Earth and Jenny Ann Chua ng Surigao del Sur as Queen Tourism.

“I see that society has changed. I can’t promise you, but I will do my best,” lahad ni Cary.
