Celebrities reveal what Holy Week means to them.
“There are lots of things to reflect on definitely especially with what happened to my life. Kasi overwhelming itong first few months ng buhay ko itong taon na ito. So I have to think about and assess what happened and kung talaga bang dapat mangyari yun and siyempre if you reflect on something kailangan hindi natatapos dun eh. May action naman.”
“More than anything, it’s the time to be thankful and the time to remember why we’re all here and why we were forgiven and what happened on the cross. It’s the time talaga to say thank you for why we’re here.”

“To just be thankful for what we have, and focus on our relationship with God. Just be thankful for what it is we have now and set goals and set dreams for the rest of the year.”
“Honestly, Holy Week is one of my favorite times of the year because it’s the time where me and my family are together with nothing to think about. Kasi siyempre pagka-holidays may gifts di ba? Amg daming ganun eh. Pero I still love holidays naman in terms of Christmas and everything. Pero pag Holy Week kasi kumbaga kayo lang eh. I don’t even have to wait until the New Year to make a resolution. Para sa akin, Holy Week is just a good time to just sit down and tell yourself what you can do better. And also of course to give thanks to the Lord for everything that He’s done for us.”
“Siguro dahil ngayon nasa government na ako so mas na-e-experience ko firsthand yung struggle nung having to deal with everybody’s opinions. So siguro it’s a perfect time to really ask how are we contributing to be a part of the solution? Instead of just always complaining left and right about the problems. Kasi andiyan lagi yan and it’s going to be hard to push for what we want and the ideal things that we want. So for me one thing I learned when I became part of the government is to find realistic approaches on how you will resolve things and I think that’s one thing that we can start with.”
“Well it’s a constant thing for me to always try to step back and be grateful for all the blessings that I know I have and to ask the Lord how He wants to use me to be an instrument of His work here on Earth. Minsan may mga bagay na nasa harap natin pero hindi naman natin na-ri-realize na ito na pala yung direksyon na gusto sa iyo ng Panginoon. Na yun na pala yung talents na gusto Niyang gamitin mo and I think sometimes when we’re so busy with so many things we really need to be deliberate about it. And Holy Week is the perfect time for that of course.”
“Holy Week is a time to sit back and relax and it’s actually a time to rejoice because the Lord is risen. The Lord already paid for our sins and it’s a time for us to rejoice because we are already saved by Jesus Christ.”
“Of course it’s a time for families to get together. I think people should reflect on if they have been good, if they have been responsible, positive members of society, and if we’ve been good parents. I always like to reflect on that.”
“I like to reflect if I’ve been a good grandmother. Andun na ko eh (laughs). To reflect for good health also.
“The absence of responsiblity. There should be freedom. You should have release. Kasi habang wala pa tayong vacation or masyadong free time, na-bi-build up yung stress so kailangan mag-fo-focus tayo sa pag-release ng tensions, stress, para refresher course naman. Para siyang hot towel sa airplane pag matagal biyahe? When you get that hot towel and you put it on your face, you’re ready to go. Okay I’m ready to take my seatbelt off and get my luggage and continue on my journey.”
“I’m going to reflect on what’s my next direction and what does God want me to do with my life. Most of the time yun lang talaga naman ang lagi kong rini-reflect.”
