All-male group Gimme 5 members Nash Aguas, Brace Arquiza, John Bermundo, Joaquin Reyes, and Grae Fernandez are all ecstatic to let their fans hear their sophomore album.
News about their comeback started after a date for the launch of their second album under Star Music came out.
In an exclusive interview with the five young guys, they happily talked about their upcoming “new baby.”
“The next album that we’re going to release is a five-track album. The songs were written by us,” Joaquin started.
According to him, the album will be more personal “dahil mas close kami doon sa meaning ng song, sa beat ng song.”
Brace, meanwhile, highlighted that they are offering something new this time.
“Tsaka sobrang layo niya sa unang album namin. Parang na-reinvent namin ang sarili namin sa music,” Brace said.
Grae pointed out that “Mas pinaganda namin this time” while John noted that they were able to prepare for the album even more.
Nash, for his part, singled out that their new album has something for people of all ages.
“‘Yung first album kasi, ‘yung target namin more on medyo sobrang bata from 10 to 13 to teenagers. Ngayon medyo nag-level up kami. Medyo mas mature ‘yung music,” he said.
“Feeling ko mas naging wide ang audience since medyo may hugot hugot ang mga songs namin,” the Kung Kailangan Mo Ako star said.
Will they be having a concert for their album?
“No confirmed plans yet but definitely, why not naman na mag-concert kami for the album,” said Joaquin. “And for the fans kasi I think they’ve been waiting for a long time already.”
