‘Alam mo, Ogie, maganda siya dahil sa gawa ng family natin.’ Michelle told Ogie via Skype on Magandang Buhay.
Australian beauty queen and former actress Michelle Van Eimeren got emotional as she recounted the things she misses about her daughter Leila Alcasid who just moved to the Philippines from Australia last January.
Leila and her father, Ogie Alcasid, got to talk to Michelle via video chat on the Tuesday episode of Magandang Buhay, March 6.
According to Michelle, she misses her daughter’s face, her crazy dancing, and her jokes, among their other bonding moments.
Saying that is very proud of Leila, Michelle advised, “Alam ko mahirapan ka magsalita ng Tagalog pero dahan-dahan ‘yun. You’ll be able to pick up the Tagalog. You’ll be able to do everything that you wanted to do. Very proud of you, my darling.”
Likewise, an emotional Ogie gathered his strength to say, “You’ll be so proud of her because I can’t believe she turned out to be so great. Thank you, Chelle.”
“Alam mo, Ogie, maganda siya dahil sa gawa ng family natin,” she replied.
Ogie then took the opportunity to acknowledge Michelle and her current husband who is Leila’s stepfather, Mark Murrow. “I just want to thank you. I wasn’t there many times and you and Mark, especially, just took care of this girl and she’s turned out to be a wonderful, wonderful person because of the two of you. I cannot thank you enough. I thank God for the kind of family that we have.”
Leila also was not able to hold her tears back as she thanked her mother for always being there for her.
