One Music PH’s Volts Vallejo shares advice for aspiring artists

033017-Voltz_Push.jpgThere are many things in store for One Music PH’s first signed contract artist, Volts Vallejo. After his song, “Hey Crush” made it to the Vince and Kath and James movie, he is set to release an album and do mall shows.

One Music discovered him after he uploaded his video in their Be Discovered section. Volts has some advice for aspiring artists.

“Keep on writing songs. Practice, practice, practice. Hanggang gumaling kayo sa craft niyo kasi kapag nakukuntento sila sa talents nila ngayon, anong skills nila meron ngayon, baka hindi sila mag-grow so practice, practice, practice and you’ll get there.”

As for his dream collaborations, he hopes to work with Star Music’s Roxy Liquigan and singer Yeng Constantino.

According to Volts, his musical journey – from uploading song covers on YouTube to getting discovered – took a while. “Siguro para sa ibang tao, parang mabilis siya eh… Pero para sa’kin, medyo matagal eh so step by step talaga ‘yan, eh. Trial and error so sinuwerte lang talaga siguro ako na ‘yung kanta ko na ‘Hey Crush’ sa Vince and Kath and James, sinuwerte lang siguro ako na mapasama siya kasi ‘dun na talaga nagstart, dahil sa Be Discovered.”

He said that he is happy that the “Hey Crush” song made an impact on the lives of fans who now address him as ‘Crush.’
