Iza Calzado will fight for her movie ‘Bliss’ to be shown in the Philippines.
Sa TV Patrol, binigyan ng rating na X o not for public exhibition ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ang pyscho-thriller film na Bliss. Pinagbibidahan ng pelikula si Iza Calzado at dinirek ni Jerrold Tarog. Nanalo rin si Iza ng best actress award para sa naturang pelikula sa Osaka Asian Film Festival
Ilalaban diumano nila Iza ang desisyon na ito ng MTRCB. “How come a foreign film is allowed to be shown here with perhaps not the exact same components. Kung X agad, are you saying hat our Filipino 18 year olds will go to the cinema and will not be able to comprehend that this is not something I should do?”
Nagpaliwanag naman si MTRCB chairwoman Rachel Arenas kung bakit X ang naging grade nila sa pelikula. “There was prolonged frontal nudity. There was a lot of violence, masturbation. Two of the board members rated it X and one R18.”
Ayon sa ulat, meron din daw “sexually oriented dialogue at gory violent scenes ang pelikula na offensive maging sa manunuod na 18-year-old pataas.”
Bukas naman ang MTRCB kung sakaling mag-aapela ang kampo ng pelikulang Bliss. “We heard that they were going to send a letter tomorrow, for an appeal. So then we will have a review, composition of five members.”
