Erickson and Erik each filed complaints, totaling 43 counts of cyber libel, 12 counts of grave threats, one count of slander and two counts of libel.
Cornerstone head Erickson Raymundo and singer Erik Santos each filed complaints against reporter Jobert Sucaldito on Thursday morning, March 30 at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, totaling 43 counts of cyber libel, 12 counts of grave threats, one count of slander and two counts of libel.
According to Attorney Joji Alonso, in the case of Erikson, 22 counts of cyber libel, one count of slander and six counts of grave threats were filed. As for Erik’s case, there are 21 counts of cyber libel, two counts of libel and six counts of grave threats.
Referring to Jobert’s Facebook posts, Erickson, who said he was relieved to have made such decision, said, “’Nung binabasa ko kasi, it’s all lies and it’s affecting me emotionally, my artists, my company, my staff so I feel lang na we have to put an end also, put a stop ‘dun sa vicious cycle of harassing artists and personalities to advance your personal interests.”
When asked if they got to talk to Jobert, he said, “No. We tried reaching out initially pero hindi.”
Other Cornerstone artists such as Jaya, Yeng Constantino, Sam Milby, K Brosas, Thor, Benj Manalo and Nicco Manalo, as well as film director Joyce Bernal were also present to give their support to Erickson and Erik.
