Close friends and loved ones remember Cornelia

"Perhaps Angge, or talent manager Cornelia Lee, was one of the very first friends we met in showbusiness. She has been a friend since many many years back. I remember since her days in Anak Bayan in Paco.

"I would like to remember Angge for who she really was. She has been a very kind hearted person, who will always fight for whatever she thinks is right. She is a very hardworking woman. There were times when she wouldn't budge even if you say no.

"When Angge got sick, I refused to see her. I don't want to see her helpless in bed. She is not the Angge that I used to know.

"Now Angge is gone, but it is not the end of her story. Angge simply went somewhere, to a place where she really belongs. Now she doesn't have to travel all the way to Baclaran church to light candles. Now her own light shines before her God."

Kahit di naging malapit na kaibigan, ang pananampalataya at devotion ni Angge sa Our Lady of Perpetual Help ang hinangaan ni Isah Red, editor ng Manila Standard

"I'm sad even if Angge was never my friend in my years working on TV and later covering show business. No, we weren't hostile to each other but she never treated me like how she did others like you. Still, I'm praying for the repose of her soul. I'll miss the image of a white haired-woman queueing in Baclaran church to touch the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. May she welcome her to her Son's kingdom in the after life."

"Fond farewell to Angge aka Cornelia Lee, an iconic figure in the movie and television industries. She was one of my dearest colleagues in the pioneering showbiz talk show produced by the late Inday Badiday, "Movie Magazine" on GMA-7, and later became the highly influential talent manager and casting executive at ABS-CBN. Angge had a tough, intimidating facade but deep inside, she was kind, soft-hearted, thoughtful, and honest. Ansel Beluso's news that she has finally succumbed after more than a year in coma saddens us deeply but at the same time provides relief to those who cared for her that she has joined her Maker and is now in peace. Thanks, Angge for the friendship."

"Good night to my talent manager tita Angge (we fondly call her tita A) It is my regret that I'm not there these days to bid my last adieu together with everyone who loves you. I love you at maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat."

"I remember Tita 'A' Ange during a wedding di ba nakakatawa yung kissing part nila ng jowa niya tapos sila tita A at tita Baby kinakantyawan yung kinakasal... parang sitcom lang."
