Lorna Tolentino shares what she missed most about ABS-CBN: ‘It’s the quality’

032117-LT_PUSH.jpgIt’s been five years since her last teleserye on ABS-CBN and Lorna Tolentino admitted she could not say no when the new Dreamscape project was offered to her. “Maganda, masaya, happy. Kasi Sir Deo (Edrinal) called nanay Lolit Solis (her manager) and sinabi niya na may project for me and then nung prinesent at pinitch nila yung role, wala na, yun na yun (laughs). Sabi ko, ‘Wow! Parang another challenging role for me,’” she shared during the Watsons Switch and Save presscon held last March 16 in Makati city.

The talented actress said she is also excited to be working with a great cast of actors in her first TV project this year. “Siyempre yung mga kasama yung una na si Angelica Panganiban, Julia Montes tapos si Cherry Pie Picache, ang daming magaling. Si Paulo Avelino, JC Santos di ba? First time ko to work with Julia and JC. But with Paulo nakasama ko na siya before tapos si Pie parati. My last project was Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin with Coco Martin,” she said.

Lorna also admitted what she missed most about working in ABS-CBN. “It’s the quality. Lahat siyempre mami-miss mo. Siyempre pag nakatrabaho mo for ilang beses na, mami-miss mo yung mga nakatrabaho mo,” she added.

Apart from continuing to hone her craft as an actress, Lorna said she is also working on being a good lola to her grandchild Tori (daughter of eldest son Rap). “Parang being a good mom also kasi pag mom ka parang ikaw ang nanganak ulit pero hindi naman (laughs). Yung feeling na ganun na panibagong baby mo ulit, yun. So pareho lang yan, being a mother and a grandmother,” she explained.

The Watsons celebrity endorser also admitted she is happy to be in touch with stepson Mark Anthony Fernandez who is still incarcerated following an illegal drugs arrest in Pampanga last year. “I think kasi may ongoing yung case hanggang April pa so hindi talagang puwedeng magsalita. Yes before (nabisita ko siya) pero recently hindi pa nung na-transfer siya. But tumatawag siya sa akin. Nagkakausap naman kami. Pag may bisita siyang may cellphone nakakatawag siya. Si Rap kasi nag-shoot siya dun sa Pampanga so mas na-vi-visit niya yung kuya niya,” she shared.
