I Love OPM winner Yohan Hwang has been chosen to sing the Korean version of Yeng Constantino’s hit song “Ikaw” which is also the official theme song of the Korean drama series Love in the Moonlight.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH, the singer shared how he felt when he was chosen to do the series’ theme song.
“Super excited, somehow super thankful kasi they chose me na,” he said.
“I was super masaya but I was worried about what are we going to do about my album pero now I have plans and maraming goals,” he added.
Yohan then suggested that Filipinos would love the teleserye because of its simple yet unique story.
“I can say parang it will be a fresh or unique teleserye I think sa Filipino kasi the concept is parang historical very before parang hundred years ago so the views are parang hindi familiar sa ‘yo but the story and scenario is great. The story is very simple, it’s a story about love pero and also the language is already dubbed so it will be easy for you guys to understand, maintindihan.”
He also shared that he’s interested in joining local showbiz instead of flying back to Korea.
“No [I have no plans of joining showbiz in Korea]. Dito muna kasi I want to stay here for maraming years.”
Right now, he’s making an effort in able to have bigger acting roles in the Kapamilya network.
“I can act, I’m sure I can act. Minsan po [may offer] pero puro extra now. Pero I’m enjoying it. Hindi ako magaling magsalita ng Tagalog. Yes, [I’m doing a] Tagalog workshop so I’m improving I guess,” he said.
