A heart filled with love – this was how actress-singer Vina Morales described her current state.
During her album launch early this month, Vina said that despite the challenges, she is generally happy.
“As a single mom, mahirap po talagang magpalaki ng isang anak ng mag-isa, especially if you’re a working mom. Siguro ‘yung akin napagdaan noon at pinagdadaanan ngayon, I get strength from God and from my family. And my friends na nadidiyan para sumuporta sa akin.”
Acknowledging the trials that she went through, Vina said that it is important to never lose hope. When asked to give an advice to women as March is Women’s Month, Vina took the opportunity to address the controversies she was involved in the past.
“I always believe na lahat naman ng problema, malalampasan ‘yun basta you won’t give up on those situations and you have to fight. And one thing I’ve learned after 30 years in show business, ang daming controversies in general. May mga intriga, totoo. There are things also that are concocted by other people just to get attention and just to say bad things to you. But, one thing I’ve learned is to always believe and prove to people na hindi ka naman ganoong klaseng babae. At ‘yung pagkatao mo, ‘yun din naman ‘yung makikita ng mga tao.
“So, I guess the respect and being a fighter, hindi naman kailangan sumagot ako sa mga lahat ng mga intriga na lumalabas sa’kin o mga gawa-gawang istorya against me. Ang sa akin kasi is, I always believe silence is the best revenge and I always go through the proper way,” she explained.
“Basta wala kang tinatapakan na tao at ang sinasabi mo ay totoo lamang, doon ka lalong rerespetuhin ng mga tao bilang isang babae,” the singer-actress added.
