On Tonight with Boy Abunda, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez shared how she would tweak her lines for her character in A Love to Last.
“Binibigay sa akin ang script tapos pag hindi tugma, masyadong malalim ang Ingles, na hindi ako yun, kailangan ko dapat ibabaw na naiintindihan din. Kapag hindi tumawa yung mga ka-team ko sa Good Events, ibig sabihin hindi yan magiging ano. So ang gagawin ko papalitan ko nang magiging tugma sa aking katauhan.”
When asked if she’s a fan of the tandem TonDeng brought to life by actors Ian Veneracion and Bea Alonzo, she hastily answered, “yes. Actually, I’m one of the cast but when I watch yung moment nilang dalawa, kinikilig ako sa tanda kong ito. Sabi ko, first time akong kinilig ah! Ang ganda ng chemistry nina Bea and Ian.”
Melanie’s daughter Michelle Dee is currently making her mark on the modeling world. Her advice to her daughter is to be different. “Kailangan niyang maging original. Huwag siyang maging copycat. Hindi ka sisikat kapag copycat ka.”
As a beauty queen, Melanie hopes for her daughter to follow in her footsteps saying, “Well, of course because she has the looks. She has the x factor as a matter of fact, she has the height, and she is ladylike.”
