Employees of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), an office under the Department of Tourism (DOT), filed a complaint against their chief operating officer Cesar Montano and submitted it to the Presidential Action Center (PACE).
In a report by ABS-CBN’s Primy Cane, the board listed 30 violations of the actor including mismanaging the department’s funds and possible corruption.
In the letter, it also said that Cesar got into multimillion-peso worth of contracts for holding concerts here and abroad, where he was also a guest performer.
It was also stated that he hired friends and relatives, whose roles are already the same with the incumbent TPB employees, making it redundant.
He is also said to have used the TPB’s funds for trips not related to his work.
Cesar, who is a staunch supporter of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and was appointed to the post last December, has yet to speak about the issue.
