Empress Schuck had a showbiz hiatus when she became pregnant and gave birth to her daughter Athalia almost two years ago. Now that she’s back to work, she shared the changes that her baby Athalia brought in their lives.
“Unexpectedly masaya siya kasi siyempre at first hindi mo alam kung ano yung mafi-feel mo di ba? So ayun masaya pala siya amsarap palang magka-baby,” she told PUSH.
Empress admitted that she and her partner Vino Guingona have been hands on in taking care of their firstborn and it wasn’t that easy.
“Siguro yung time (ang nagbago) kasi kapag baby pala wala talaga siyang time na ganitong oras siya matutulog. Ilang hours siyang tutulog hindi mo alam kung kailan siya gigising so mga first few motnhs wala kaming tulog wala kaming oras sa sarili namin,” she shared.
She also said that even if it’s her first time, it felt like she already knew what she was doing.
“Parang hindi ko alam kung paano at bakit pero parang somehow biglang sanay ka lang bigla. Para [mo] siyang ginagawa dati yun yung nafeel ko.”
Now that baby Athalia is 15-months old, she’s now ready to go back to work. Empress revealed that after she gave birth, she already made a decision that once Athalia turns a year old, she would go back to work.
Empress would appear on the Saturday episode of “Ipaglaban Mo” with RK Bagatsing and this is her first acting project since her hiatus.
“After two years, ito yung pinaka una kong taping although nag guest ako sa ‘Magandang Buhay’ first guesting ko din yun labas namin since baby.”
When asked if she’s going back to the Kapamilya network, she answered, “Wala pang official ano, freelance naman ako so anywhere pwede ako.”
