In the spirit of Yuletide season, Star Magic artists have once again reached out to different organizations to spread joy, hope, and love. The stars of ABS-CBN’s talent management arm visited different institutions on December 2, Saturday for its Star Magic Gives Back program.
Among the institutions that the Star Magic family visited was the San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly by the Little Sisters of the Poor in Pasay, which is home to senior citizens in need of care and support. Another batch of stars visited Cottolengo Filipino in Rizal, which serves children with special needs. Star Magic stars also joined the kids from Bantay Bata 163 and Ephesus for a fun-filled day at KIDZANIA in Bonifacio Global City. The beneficiaries were treated with song performances from the artists. Christmas gifts were also handed out by the Star Magic family to the beneficiaries.
Edward Barber felt fortunate to see the big smiles of the elderly at San Lorenzo Ruiz Home during the event. “We have been in showbiz for one year na and we’re already able to do things like this. Some of them even recognize us so di ko in-expect. Ang saya nila so to be part of something like this it’s a different experience, an eye-opening experience,” he said.
Maymay Entrata, who was also at the event, remarked, “Masaya rin kami dahil naging bahagi kami ng event na ‘to at nagbigay saya sa kanila. ‘Yung mga ngiti nila ay talagang tumatak sa amin at iyon ‘yung mga bagay na talagang alam mo na hindi mapapalitan ng ano kaya naging masaya ako na naging bahagi ako nito.”
Meanwhile, Jessy Mendiola who was present at the Star Magic Gives Back event at KIDZANIA remarked that she felt blessed to be part of the outreach program. “Sobrang nakakatuwa lang na they came up with an event like this kasi it’s my first time to be here sa KIDZANIA and talagang venue siya for kids and to have fun,” she stated.
