‘Haunted Forest’ writer Jeps Gallon shares the story behind ‘Sitsit’

After receiving a “B” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board, Haunted Forest writer Jeps Gallon admitted there was pressure for him to deliver a solid storyline that could be worthy of its popular predecessors like Haunted Mansion and the Shake, Rattle, & Roll franchise.

Gallon admitted he was very hands-on with the film including the decision to use less CGI effects to create a different feel for the horror film. Shoot na shoot yung pagkakaganap nila,” he said.

One of the most anticipated parts of the film was the introduction of Pinoy horror’s newest character Sitsit. Gallon admitted he did not base the creature on a singular local or foreign folklore monster.
