Jameson Blake on having more projects than other Hashtags members: ‘I think it’s just about timing’

As the opening date approaches for his Metro Manila Film Festival entry Haunted Forest, Jameson Blake said all the hard work they did for the film paid off. “I play the role of RJ, best friend of Andre (played by Jon Lucas) and parang partner ako ni Jane (Oineza). Ang hirap dito kasi Tagalog eh (laughs). Ito yung first movie ko na despite the dialogue, siguro yung first scenes more on physical kasi away and everything so nakita nila yung ginawa namin sa actual forest,” he shared.

The 20-year-old actor said doing his first horror film was an unforgettable experience especially because of the mysterious character in the movie called Sitsit. “Freaky siya eh. Pag nakita mo siya, parang hindi siya figure, creature talaga siya. I’m not really so into horror movies but I appreciate it. In terms of being physical ito na talaga yung most difficult. Falling kasi and everything sa forest and the stones you never know when you’ll get hit,” he said.

With the 2015 Regal Films MMFF horror entry Haunted Mansion making a killing at the box office, Jameson said there is pressure for Haunted Forest to do just as well. But regardless if they win any awards, he said he already feels blessed that the film made it this far. “Whatever happens, happens and I’m already happy getting the roles I’m getting so yung mga awards I’m not really expecting much. Pag wala okay lang pero pag meron that would be great,” he added.

The movie also stars Raymart Santiago, Jane Oineza, Jon Lucas, and Maris Racal and is directed by Ian Lorenos. Watch Haunted Forest from Regal Films at the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival starting December 25 in cinemas nationwide.
