After doing Bloody Crayons earlier this year, Jane Oineza said she is happy that her second horror film Haunted Forest is competing in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. The Regal Films entry was also graded high B by the Cinema Evaluation Board. “Thank you po sobrang kinakabahan nga ako kasi first time ko sa MMFF. Hindi ko rin in-expect na MMFF yung movie namin but I’m so thankful na nakapasok kami and I’m excited for this whole journey. Grabe, hinabol din namin ito for MMFF and grabe lahat ng ginawa namin, may action, ang daming takbuhan, yung sa character ko very nakaka-dehydrate din kasi puro sigawan. So matindi ang horror,” she shared.
In Haunted Forest, Jane plays the role of Nica, a policeman’s daughter who has strange encounters inside the forest that will change her life forever. The movie was written by Jeps Gallon and shot in various locations in Tanay.
Jane admitted she found it easy to work with fellow cast members Jameson Blake, Maris Racal, and Jon Lucas as well as international award-winning director Ian Lorenos. “Sobrang bait ni direk Ian. Very easy to work with and ang ganda ng mga shots nila.
Among all her co-stars, the Kapamilya actress said she can’t wait for the audience to see the onscreen debut of the most mysterious character in the whole movie. Basta pag narinig niyo na yun tumakbo na kayo dahil delikado (laughs),” she said.
Regal Entertainment Inc.’s official entry to the MMFF 2017 Haunted Forest opens nationwide on December 25, Monday.
