Richard Gomez launched his first solo art exhibit at Pinto Museum in Antipolo on Sunday, December 17.
In a video posted on his Instagram account, Richard recalled how he started in drawing cartoons, as well as his appreciation for art since the 80s. He also dubbed his work as ‘experiential art’, getting inspiration from his experience, thoughts and feelings.
“The kind of work that I do is basically experiential. How I feel, what I see, my thoughts… That’s how I work,’ the Ormoc City mayor said.
He said that the beneficiaries of the exhibit are the children of Ormoc, Leyte. Richard wants to build a playground for them.
Here are some of the works that Richard featured in his exhibit.
