Five young celebrities who opened their own businesses this year

They might be young, but these celebrities proved that being an entrepreneur doesn’t come with age. They made an effort to invest and venture into entrepreneurship to grow their earnings. These Kapamilya stars are becoming role models to the youth, inspiring them to spend their time and money wisely. Here are five young stars who started a business in 2017:

1. Nash Aguas

Nash opened a Japanese restaurant last July in the university belt with his former Goin Bulilit co-star Carl Barrameda.  “Kaya namin naisip na ito ‘yung i-business kasi ako since bata ramen fan talaga ako, so Japanese food fan, gyoza, beef gyudon, tonkatsu, karaage so hindi kami papayag na siyempre hindi masarap product namin kasi kaming dalawa Japanese food lovers kami,” Nash said.

2. Kathryn Bernardo

A certified kikay and fashionista, it is no wonder that Kathryn Bernardo opened her very first nail salon last May, which she called KathNails. Kathryn designed the look of her nail salon. Due to its success, Kath opened its second branch in November.

3. Daniel Padilla

Kathryn’s perennial love team Daniel also ventured into the business world this year. He co-owns District 8, a gastropub located in Greenhills. Daniel partnered with celebrities like Vice Ganda and James Yap, among others.

4. Liza Soberano

Liza ended her year on a high note by opening a wellness center called HOPE: Hand and Foot Wellness. “Where I see my wellness center going is I want it to be bigger. I want it to be a platform for most Filipinos who aren’t educated enough about wellness rituals that it’s about time they start acknowledging wellness as part of their daily routine,” she said.

5. James Reid

With his passion for music and creativity, James launched his own music label this year called Careless Music Manila. “I don’t feel like a CEO really it’s just I now have the freedom to make whatever music I want to. And I’ve partnered with boss Vic (del Rosario) for this label but I have complete creative freedom with the music which is amazing, something I’ve always wanted,” he said.
