Zanjoe Marudo temporarily drops father roles

Zanjoe Marudo will be taking a break from father roles for now.Starting from his recent project Fallback together with Rhian Ramos, Zanjoe is set to take on lighter-themed projects this coming 2018.“Ngayon merong akong gagawin na teleserye itong Playhouse tapos may movie ako with Star Cinema na rom-com ulit. So excited ako dun,” shared Zanjoe in a recent interview with PUSH.Zanjoe will be paired with Angelica Panganiban in the soap Playhouse while he is set to work with Empoy Marquez in the Star Cinema film Kusina Kings.The iEmmys nominee embraced the fact that he’s getting roles and projects that are far from his previous dramatic roles.“Yun na nga eh, akala ko dire-direcho na ako sa ganong mga roles na, yun tatay ako ng mga bata na gustong i-launch ng ABS. Yun mga pinapasikat na bata,” shared Zanjoe.He added, “Nakakatuwa na ngayon nao-offer sa akin yung mga dating gusto kong gawin na hindi nabibigay sa akin. Ngayon sila sabay-sabay na binibigay sa akin.”Through all his recent blessings, Zanjoe believes that, “Timing lang talaga eh tsaka patience.”
