Kisses Delavin almost quit showbiz after her love team with Marco Gallo broke up.
On Tonight with Boy Abunda, Kisses Delavin admitted she almost quit showbiz after she and erstwhile love team partner Marco Gallo went their separate ways. She said, “Yes, Tito. Kasi I think it’s a normal feeling naman sa lahat. You have some breaking points na, ‘Why am I doing this anyway?’”
Asked why she felt like quitting that time, she explained, “I felt like I had that moment na ganito pala yung showbiz… parang business talaga siya. It’s not about what you feel, it’s not about the situation. It’s about business. That's what I realized.”
Kisses also elaborated on why she chose to stay. “I think why not I sacrifice a bit of myself and get out of my comfort zone and do this and continue what I’m doing because I love what I do. I love seeing people smile. I told myself I won’t quit just because of somebody. I won’t quit just because somebody made me feel this way.”
And this decision to stay seems to have paid off for Kisses. “More likely ngayon, I have the hunger to express myself, to inspire other people by being myself without hurting other people.”
Asked pointblank if she has forgiven Marco, Kisses reacted, “Whoa… It will take time, Tito.”
Whatever happened between her and Marco also didn't affect her friendship with Maymay Entrata. “Yes, I realized na I’m happy, I’m proud seeing her in the distance. We message each other.”
However, when asked how her relationship is with Marco’s best friend Edward Barber, Kisses said, “He really loves Marco so I don't know how he feels. So I hope that he gets a better view of everything not just one-sided views. So I don't want to meddle with him kung ano ang nararamdaman niya.”
