Khalil Ramos shares that he met Gabbi Garcia through their common friends Julia Barretto and Kathryn Bernardo.
Contrary to rumors hounding them, Khalil Ramos clarified that he and actress Gabbi Garcia are nothing more than friends.
Their recent trip to Hong Kong, based on Gabbi’s posts, is what sparked the said rumors.
Khalil, in an interview during a bloggers conference for his movie Riding in Tandem, explained that they were in Hong Kong for work.
“I shot a music video last Tuesday (October 24). It was my first directorial job. Pero I’ve been an assistant director before that. I’ve been a producer, I’ve been a director of photography and a camera operator,” he said.
Khalil apparently shot the music video for Gabbi’s recently released self-produced debut single titled “All I Need.”
The La Luna Sangre actor is one of the founders of the production company called Limitless.
“In the future yes, I would want to work on some films, short films and TV shows,” he shared.
But is the real score between them?
“Yeah we’re close friends lang. We’re very good friends. Marami kaming common friends kasi. Julia Barretto, Kathryn Bernardo, and yung mga influencer friends namin na bloggers,” he explained.
The actor-singer likewise shared how their collaboration came about.
“Same circle kasi kami and I guess nakita lang niya ang team namin because she knows that I do production work,” he started.
“She contacted me na ‘Oh baka you want to work together because I’m launching my new single. I’m launching my music career,” Khalil continued.
Aside from being the music video’s director, Khalil also had a hand in the video’s storyline.
“Sabi ko, ‘Oh sige game! Isipan natin ng storya, ng kwento.’ Yeah pati yung takbo nung buong music video, the location and the story, ako rin, ang team namin na Limitless ang nag-conceptualize,” he ended.
While he has no love team partner as of the moment, Gabbi, for her part, has young actor Ruru Madrid as her onscreen partner.
