Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao share "worst travel experience" with a Mexican Airline

Cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao and her sister Ashley shared on a YouTube video what they described as the "worst travel experience" they had. Both were leaving Mexico City when they encountered an unfortunate situation at the airport.

"We got the immigrations forms upon entry to Mexico and were told that we had to stash them for safekeeping because we will be needing those forms for our flight out. We both travel a lot so we knew that it wasn't a common procedure, but did as we were told. We guarded those immigration forms with our lives," Ashley wrote on her YouTube blog.

Ashley relayed that the airport staff asked for the immigration forms at the check in counter but didn't give it back. "We knew that we needed it but they didn't give it back so we didn't know that we needed it at the gate," Ashley remarked.

"There was no immigration process after checking in. But now, rude lady at the boarding gate tells us we have to go all the way back outside, look for the immigration office and apply (and pay 500 Mexican pesos each) for new immigration forms. And all while passengers were already boarding the plane," Ashley recounted.

She continued, "Supposed time of flight was 6:35PM all sweaty and panicked and out of breath we got back to the gate at 6:37PM. I asked rude lady if we can board now, to which she oh so rudely replied ‘no. plane left.’”

They missed their flight because of what happened.

Alodia stressed that it was not their fault at all on why they weren't able to board the plane. She remarked that it was the airline's error.

"We were on time, we were very actually. I don't know why they had to hold our immigration form [at] the check in and didn't give it back actually. This is the first time I missed a flight and it's not our error. Ginawa naman namin lahat ng tama eh and they weren’t even so considerate. They're not helping us," Alodia said.

The sisters had to buy new tickets, camp out at the airport overnight before they managed to board a flight back to Manila. They also said they have to prove what happened was the airline’s fault before the management gives them a refund.
