Matteo Guidicelli’s action film earns nods from International Film Festival Manhattan

Matteo Guidicelli’s 2016 action flick Across the Crescent Moon has made waves in New York almost 10 months since it was released.

The producers of the film through a post on the movie’s official Facebook page shared photos from their encounter at the International Film Festival Manhattan.

According to the post, Across the Crescent Moon took home two awards including the Best Global Feature Film award and the Best Ensemble Acting award.

The film centers on a Muslim SAF agent who marries a  Catholic lady. Due to his bold decision, Abbas, played by Matteo, struggled to be accepted by his wife's parents. Along with that, he was also pressed to live by his oath and to serve his country.
