It’s Showtime host and Rocksteddy frontman Teddy Corpuz surprised the nation when he proposed and married his wife Jasmin for the second time, on live TV.
“Eleven years ago ‘nung magkakilala tayo. Noong una pa lang kitang makita alam kong ikaw na ‘yung babaeng para sa akin,” he began to tell his wife who was watching with their two children in the audience area.
“Lagi mong sinasabi sa’kin na never akong nagpropose sa’yo. Kaya nga, sa harap mo at sa harap ng buong mundo, gusto kitang tanungin. Babe, will you marry me again?” Teddy’s voice broke. His wife said yes.
He then placed the new wedding ring he said he invested in on his wife’s ring finger. She was then escorted to the side of the stage where the staff made her wear a wedding gown.
The two exchanged vows in front of pastor Joseph Etienne Morales on the stage of It’s Showtime. They also shared a kiss after they were pronounced husband and wife. Vice Ganda sang during the ceremony.
According to Teddy, he did not tell anybody, including his children, about his plan to marry Jasmine again. He just told them that they would have a pictorial for fellow host Anne Curtis’ upcoming wedding.
Teddy is part of the ‘Jugs, Teddy and Vice’ team for this year’s Magpasikat in It’s Showtime.
