Khalil Ramos suggests that Xander Ford put his fame and the attention that he’s getting to good use
Khalil Ramos, one of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s closest friends in showbiz, finally spoke up about the viral audio clip supposedly featuring Xander Ford.
The Riding in Tandem star, in an exclusive interview with PUSH after the bloggers conference of his first ever action film with Jason Abalos that is already out in theaters, was blunt enough to underscore that what the controversial personality supposedly did was offensive.
An audio clip of a man criticizing Kathryn’s legs went viral a few days ago. Several netizens quickly assumed that it was Xander.
Xander, through a statement by his talent managers, denied that he was the one speaking in the said clip.
“Well, you know it’s been a long issue kumbaga yung cyberbullying. Hindi maganda yung ginawa niya of course. I don’t understand where he’s coming from, kung saang anggulo siya nanggaling bakit bigla niyang ginanon si Kathryn,” Khalil said, adding that he was only able to read a transcript of the clip.
However, he quickly added, “But it’s one thing to know and to acknowledge na ganon na siyang klaseng tao kasi cinyberbully din siya.”
Xander has suffered a major online backlash since the clip went viral. The issue came right on the heels of accusations by certain personalities including Ogie Diaz, who claimed that Xander threw a fit inside the ABS-CBN compound.
The singer-actor underscored that Xander’s alleged behavior shouldn’t be tolerated because “masama talaga yung ginawa niya, masama talaga yung sinabi niya if it’s really him.
“I’m not saying that we tolerate him but we shouldn’t attack him full force because anything can happen to him. He could get damaged,” he said.
“He should apologize,” Khalil added.
Khalil explained his reaction to the issue as something that stems from the fact that “As a friend of Kathryn of course we would always come to her defense.”
In the end, the La Luna Sangre actor gave a meaningful message for Xander, whom he described as someone influential but who was using his fame “in a very bad way.”
“I suggest for him to take time to realize what he has done. Kathryn is a very strong person. But what if you did that to a person who is very vulnerable,” he said.
He likewise proposed for Xander to “take it easy, to learn from his experiences and to put his fame and the attention that he’s getting to good use.”
While Daniel has been quiet on the matter, Kathryn recently posted a strong message on cyberbullying, as well as her mother Min Bernardo.
