“Kasi nasa verge kasi ako ng transition ko from R&B to reggae so sana abangan nila. Sana magkaroon ako ng album na reggae fusion. It’s like reggae with R&B beat together,” he told PUSH.com.ph.

When asked what made him decide to make changes in his music, Bugoy said that he was surprised to find himself enjoying the reggae beat.

“So nagdecide ako. Sabagay marami na rin kasi, di ba, na nag-R-R&B so gusto kong, kumbaga, mag-aral pa ng ibang genre na aside ‘dun sa palagi ko ng kinakanta so nasurprise ako na people liked it ‘nung kumanta ako ng reggae so I’m so thankful.”

Further, Bugoy shared that a reggae album might be in the works for him, “Actually, nakausap ko na si Sir Jonathan (Manalo from Star Music) so I think so. Abangan nila.”

Bugoy’s cover of Matiyashu’s reggae song “One Day” on Wish 107.5 Bus has earned more than 10 million views as of this writing.
