The FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano star was tapped by Kapisanan ng mga Artista sa Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon (KAPPT) Rez Cortez to be his successor.
Coco Martin has been tapped by the current Kapisanan ng mga Artista sa Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon (KAPPT) president Rez Cortez to be his successor.
However the actor turned down the offer since he felt like he was still “inexperienced” for the job.
“It’s a responsibility that seems too big for me. I told Tito Rez I wasn’t ready yet. On the set, he observed how well I took care of my staff,” he told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
“I’m still too young and inexperienced to be president. It’s important that I know what I’m doing before I assume responsibility over something as significant as the actors’ guild,” he added.
The 35-year old actor also said he wants to work on the production of free TV online shows and give “semi-retired” actors a job again.
“It’s good because there will be no network involvement. It’s like working on an indie movie. I’ll make this happen this year,” he said.
