Pokwang says Alzheimer-stricken mother is getting better

013117-Pokwang_PUSH.jpgActress-comedienne Pokwang was very happy to renew her contract with ABS-CBN last Monday, January 30. While she cannot disclose details, she said, “Very, very promising ang kontrata. Very well-blessed.”

According to her, she will have another project after the recently-concluded primetime series, Till I Met You. She said, “Abangan po nila. Siyempre hindi puwedeng mawala ako sa mga ganyang proyekto dahil isa rin po ‘yan sa mga ikinatutuwa kong trabaho, ang magpaiyak at magpatawa.”

Meanwhile, Pokwang also talked about her new home they moved into last December.

“Masaya kasi lola-friendly ‘yung bagong bahay. Hindi masyadong mahagdan,” she said.

And although her mother, who has Alzheimer’s Disease, can no longer speak, Pokwang said that she feels her mother’s happiness.

Pokwang also said that her mother is getting better. “Medyo lumakas na ‘yung katawan niya. Dati kasi lagi lang nasa wheelchair, lagi lang nakahiga. Ngayon, naglalakad-lakad na ng paunti-unti. In fairness naman, nakatulong din sa kanya ‘yung kanyang mga gamot na herbal,” she said.

More on Pokwang’s personal affairs, she was also asked about her relationship with actor Lee O’ Brian.

“Very happy. In fact, nandito po ‘yung pamilya niya. Nandito, nasa Corregidor sila ngayon, namamasyal… First time ‘nun family niya rito sa Pilipinas so enjoy na enjoy sila. Nagkataon pa na nandito rin ang Miss Universe,” she shared.
