Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar and Miss Haiti Raquel Pélissier were named second and first runners up respectively.

During the last question and answer portion, the final 3 were asked one question, “Name something over the course of your life that you failed at and tell us what you learned from that experience.

I failed several times in my life so I thought that I’ve failed the first time that I tried on the castings because my name wasn’t on the list and the very next day I found the new book. When you fail, you have to be elevated and you have to try again and keep going. If tonight I’m not one of the winners I will still have the great honor of winning the [top] 3 finalists,” Miss France replied to the question through an interpreter.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach passed on the crown to her successor.

This is France’s second win in the Miss Universe pageant after 63 years. In 1953, Christiane Martel was the first beauty queen from France to win the crown.
