Robi Domingo could not give the press a definite answer.
Host Robi Domingo renewed his contract with ABS-CBN on Monday, January 30.
Having signed a two-year contract, Robi said that he will be doing lots of hosting. “I’ll be more with Alex Gonzaga and Kuya Luis (Manzano) sa mga susunod na proyekto,” he said, adding that aside from The Voice, he is set to do two more shows this year.
“Nakakakilig at saka pressure kasi I got big shoes to fill in. Syempre, when you’re holding a mic and then standing in front of lots of people, masaya siya pero hindi siya birong trabaho kasi hindi ka naman nagbabasa lang kasi you’re always thinking at kung may mangyaring masama, alam mo kung anong susunod na gagawin mo,” Robi said about hosting.
According to him, he looks up to the hosting styles of international hosts Ryan Seacrest and James Corden, “Very relaxed yet alam kung anong gagawin.”
Saying that one of the people who helped him with hosting is Minute to Win It and Family Feud host Luis, Robi said that he would also like to seek the help of Pinoy Big Brother host Toni Gonzaga as he likes her command.
“Maliit man ‘yung katawan ko ngayon, pero gusto ko ramdam ‘yung presence ko ‘pag nandoon ako. May command,” he added.
Meanwhile, Robi, in terms of his personal life, was asked about his relationship with fellow “Umagang Kay Ganda” host Gretchen Ho, who is now sporting a short do. This new hairstyle of Gretchen sparked speculations that something is up between her and Robi.
“We’re okay,” Robi told reporters.
When asked if they have broken up or not, he repeated his answer, “We’re okay. Siguro masasagot ko ‘yan in the coming days, coming weeks pero as of now, we are okay.”
