Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida admit feeling awkward about kissing scene in ‘Foolish Love’

012417-Tomiho_PUSH.jpgSet to star in their first-ever movie titled Foolish Love, real-life couple Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida referred to this project as a learning experience.

“Siyempre ‘di mo kasi alam kung paano po ba umarte na baka pagalitan ako ni Direk (Joel Lamangan) ng todo todo, ‘yung gano’n. Pero dahil sa mga suporta po nila, nagawa naman po namin ng maayos,” said Miho while Tommy expressed his excitement for the first major movie together.

According to the film’s director Joel Lamangan, the two were natural actors, adding that they did not have a hard time working with them.

However, he found it challenging to convince the couple to perform a kissing scene in front of the camera.

Agreeing with what their director said, Miho said, “Syempre na-awkward po kasi siyempre madaming tao sa paligid tapos i-a-acting niyo ‘yung natural lang,” adding that they were nervous while doing the scene.

“Siguro inisip na lang namin na walang tao sa paligid like ginagawa lang namin is natural, is totoo,” she said about how they managed to do it.

Likewise, Tommy said that they just have to immerse themselves in their characters. “We just have to go for it… Be in the scene. Act as if no one’s there.”
