EXCLUSIVE: ‘Seklusyon’ star Rhed Bustamante says she loves watching horror movies

010117-RhedBustamante_PUSH.jpgAs many predicted, child actress Rhed Bustamante got to take home the Special Jury prize from the Metro Manila Film Fest last December 29 for her role as the young mystic healer Anghela in Erik Matti’s horror film Seklusyon. The nine-year-old who first joined the MMFF as part of the 2013 entry Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy said she never imagined she would get her big break after just four years in showbiz. "Super saya ko kasi bilang isang artista di ba yung iba pag nagsisimula pa lang siyempre hindi pa kilala pero ako ngayon minsan nasasabihan nila ako na magaling kaya super saya ko kasi nagiging love nila ako,” she told Push.com.ph.

Even at her young age, Rhed said she has always been a fan of horror movies. Ganun po kami,” she admitted.

When her family first watched the film, Rhed said she was happy with the reaction of her siblings. When she’s just at home, Rhed saidshe is just like any other girl her age. "Naglalaro kami ng aso ko si Twinkle. One year old na Shih Tzu. Iniipitan ko siya, dinadamitan, sinasapatusan, ganun,” she added.

After winning the MMFF Special Jury prize, Rhed hopes to be able to get the chance to do more acting in 2017. "Gusto kong magkaroon ako ng more projects to come. yun po yung wish ko.
