Paul Soriano on the birth of Baby Seve: ‘It was the best crying sound ever’

093016-seve_PUSH.jpgOn TV Patrol, new Daddy Paul Soriano described how he felt hearing his firstborn cry, “It was the best crying sound ever.”

Direk Paul’s wife, actress and Kapamilya star Toni Gonzaga gave birth to a baby boy at 5:23AM this morning, September 30, 2016. The baby is named Severiano Elliot Gonzaga Soriano.

The still overwhelmed Daddy related, “Toni wanted a normal delivery and she fought for it. She fought for it. I mean 38 hours of labor and about almost three hours of pushing. There was even times there she was kind of passing out na. When she’s fully dilated already, the head was coming out. The last few pushes was really tougher.”

Paul also shared how Toni wanted him to choose the name. “Toni trusted me with that. I chose the name Severiano because my favorite golfer is Severiano Ballesteros, a Spanish golfer. And then Elliot is from E.T., from the lead character in E.T. my favorite movie. The reason why I like films.”

Asked who Baby Seve takes after in the looks department, Paul said, “From the grandparents they say me as a baby. So Toni’s happy.” Paul added, “She’s breastfed about three times already today, and it seems to be pretty easy. He latched on quite easily.”

Toni is still recovering from the long and arduous labor. The couple and Baby Seve are going home this Sunday.

Proud tita Alex Gonzaga also shared a photo of baby Sev on her Instagram.
