Elisse Joson says she constantly reminds McCoy de Leon that having bashers in showbiz is a natural thing.
Elisse Joson remained overwhelmed by the
immense support that her love team with Hashtags member McCoy de Leon has been
After being paired on Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7: Celebrity Edition, their tandem known as
McLisse was immediately booked for appearances. They were tapped to become part
of the music video of the Rocksteddy song “Kung Magiging Tayo.” They also
recently appeared on Magandang Buhay
and are currently part of the primetime show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Elisse also became part of the
recently-concluded Hashtags: The Road
Trip Concert at the KIA Theater as McCoy’s special guest.
In an exclusive interview with Elisse, she
admitted that she’s still wrapping her head around everything that’s going on.
“Nakakaguat lahat. Nakaka-overwhelm. ‘Yung
sa Probinsyano siyempre bigating show
‘yan and bigatin ang mga artista so nakaka-pressure din na kailangan galingan
namin kasi ang mga kasama namin veteran actors,” she said.
She says they make it a point to help each
other on the set of the show.
“Lagi before mag-take we would pray,
siyempre. Tapos kung may hihingin sa amin kinakausap muna namin ang isa’t-isa,”
Elisse is well aware that there are a good
number of people who are rooting for McLisse.
“Nung una parang ‘di kami makapaniwala na
maraming sumuporta sa amin kasi nga hindi naman talaga kami pinag-love team
talaga. It happened lang rin,” she began.
The touted “Hugot Girl” however shared that
along with their supporters come the bashers to whom McCoy is still adjusting.
“So lagi siyang pinapaalalahanan na ‘wag
niyang damdamin kasi ‘yung mga nakakakilala naman sa kanya alam naman kung
gaano siy kabait at ka-sincere,” shared Elisse.
One of the foremost “criticisms” about the
two is the fact that they are supposedly “too showy” on social media.
“Hindi ko alam how to respond to that pero
I do want to say na ‘yung mga kulitan namin sa Twitter, it’s natural lang,”
She pointed out that they never really plan
anything when it comes to their social media posts.
“Hindi namin sinasadya na ‘uy mag-re-reply
ako dito’ or ‘uy kailangan kong sagutin ito.’ Ako kapag may nakita akong tweet
sa kanya aasarin ko na siya ‘yun po. Hindi naman sa meant na parang maging PDA,
it just happens naturally,” she ended.
