Philippine delegate wins this year’s Miss United Continents

This is the first time the country has won the title.

Philippine delegate wins this year’s Miss United Continents


092616-MissContinent_PUSH.jpgPhilippine representative Jeslyn Santos, 23 won the 2016 Miss United Continents title last September 25 that was held at the Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil, Ecuador. This is the first time the Philippines bagged the crown.

According to the official website of the beauty pageant, it started in 2006 as Miss American Continent, where 21 beauty queens from the American continent that previously participated or won in other pageants such as Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth from their hometown would join.

Maria del Carmen de Aguayo, owner and director of the pageant decided to make it worldwide thus, changing the name to Miss United Continents. This is the 4th edition of Miss United Continents.
