Liza and Enrique’s upcoming film is going to be directed by blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina and is set to come out “sometime this year.”
Although they have worked together twice with Direk Cathy on their soaps Forevermore and parts of Dolce Amore, Liza and Quen’s upcoming movie is the first time that they are working with her on the big screen.
Liza admitted that there’s a bit of pressure on their part.
“Kasi lahat ng movie ni Direk Cathy nagiging hit so ine-expect ng tao na pati ‘yung sa amin so kailangan namin mag-level up,” she said during their recent story conference.
Enrique, for his part, feels lucky that they were given the chance to work with Direk Cathy.
“Gusto lang din namin na maging maganda kasi malapit sa puso ni Direk Cathy ang story na ito,” he said.
The tandem’s third film is a romance-comedy that would have Enrique playing the role of a womanizing guy who is into real estate and Liza playing the role of quirky girl.
Liza admitted that she would have to really prepare for her character, as she’s not really the funny one between her and Enrique.
“Actually kanina ko pa nga iniisip kung papaano. Kailangan kong manood ng maraming manood ng maraming rom-com movies,” she said.
According to Enrique, what excited him the most about the film was its plot.
“It’s very now, ‘yung mga situations nila it’s very young and na-e-experience ng mga kabataan sa generation na ito na hindi na-experience before. I think it’s going to be interesting,” he ended.
