EXCLUSIVE: Ronnie Alonte shares how his single ‘Love At Website’ came about

<img src='' alt='091816-RonnieAlonte_MAIN.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Hashtags member Ronnie Alonte assured fansthat despite the recent release of his single “Love At Website,” he wouldremain a member of <a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/itsshowtime/main'>It’s Showtime</a>’s all-maledance group.<o:p></o:p> In an exclusive interview with Ronnie, heshared that the single and his upcoming album was a concept that came abouteven before everything else. “Kasi nung nag-go-go see pa lang ako, ‘yungtita ko si RB Chanco, prine-sent niya ako sa Star Music, kay Sir Roxy[Liquigan],” he began. “As in di pa ako nag-start nito, as in wala pa akong <a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/maalaalamokaya/main'>MMK</a> exposure as talent.” Ronnie, who started in the businessNovember last year when he was launched as part of the Kilig Ambassadors,shared that he was only doing TV commercials at that time. “Pinakanta niya na ako [Sir Roxy]. Duringnung time na ‘yun sabi niya ‘Sige kunin ka namin,’” recalled Ronnie. But then as months passed, he never got acall from the department. “Hanggang sa siyempre nagtagal na, maraming ibang artista na super kilalang kilala, ako naman wala,” said Ronnie. But the call that he was waiting forfinally came last year. “Nung nag-start ako sa Hashtags naalalanila ako,” he said. “Ayun hanggang sa nabigyan na ako ng kanta.” Apparently, Ronnie is also set to releasehis album soon. The Hashtags launched their album back in June. The album justturned gold last week. “Tapos meron rin akong kinompose na kantakaya abangan nila,” said Ronnie about his upcoming album solo album. He continued, “Ayun binigyan nila ako ngpagkakataon na gawin ‘yun at malaki ang pasasalamat ko na pinagkatiwala nila saakin ang Love At Website.” Aside from an album, Ronnie is also set tostage a birthday concert titled KiligKing next month. Before ending the interview Ronniestressed, “Pero hindi ako humihiwalay sa grupo, baka kasi ‘yun ang tingin ngiba.”
