After being hailed as the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash in 2010, his career was at a lull and he shared that there was a time where he contemplated and thought of going back to Australia to study.

“Back then I was really young and I wasn’t so sure what it is that I really wanted to do in life and I found myself, yes in lull so I was contemplating should I go back to Australia? Go back to school? And I thought about it what is it that I really want in life and it was music it was to sing,” he said.

James then continued to share how he worked on reaching his dreams.

“I did everything possible to make that happen. I found VIVA, I asked for an album and they gave it to me. I’ve worked really hard ever since… I felt that if I really didn’t go for my dreams then I would hate myself.”

James, who is also known as a risk-taker has one thing that he is afraid of and that is also something that he loves to do: music.

“There are a lot of things that I want to do but I’m also afraid of. To be honest the most terrifying thing to me was my music because I’ve thought about it for so long, the lyrics written down on my phone for like three years,” he said.

Aside from his music career, James is currently starring on the TV series Till I Met You together with his girlfriend Nadine Lustre.
