Vina Morales on Cedric Lee: ‘Kaya siguro ako nakakatawa nang ganito kasi alam ko wala naman akong ginagawang masama sa kanila’
Seasoned performer Vina Morales is bent on just shrugging off the legal complaints of her former partner Cedric Lee and his sister Bernice Lee.
In an interview with Vina for her upcoming 30th anniversary and birthday concert titled Vina @ 30, she shared that much of her strength is really coming from her family.
“At yung anak ko, lalo na, ang nagpapatapang sa akin,” she said.
Vina admitted that her current ordeal is not something that she takes lightly.
“Pagdating sa anak ko, medyo napaka-sensitive na bagay ‘yun at talagang ipaglalaban ko ‘yun. This time, hindi ako uurong dito,” she said.
At times though, her legal battle gets to her. “Minsan nakaka-affect, nakakairita or minsan nakakalungkot, minsan nakaka-down din sa sobrang dami… ‘Hindi ba titigil ‘to?’ May ganun.”
Nevertheless, she remains positive that all that she’s facing as of the moment will eventually come to an end.
“There are nights na sobra akong down, I cry about it and then I realized, lahat naman itong mga pagsubok na ito ay talagang galing naman sa Kanya ‘yun, at alam kong hindi Niya ako pababayaan,” she said.
What’s important for her is that she is not stepping on anyone else in the process of fighting for her battle. She even stressed, “So ako, malakas ang loob ko.
“Kaya siguro ako nakakatawa nang ganito kasi alam ko wala naman akong ginagawang masama sa kanila,” she added.
Vina is facing several counts of libel filed by the Lee siblings in Nueva Ecija, Caloocan, and Parañaque City. At the moment, the Born for You actress has two lawyers who are working on her cases.
Meanwhile, despite that turbulent battle with her former partner, Vina shared that her love life remains in full bloom.
Although she reveals that she and her French businessman boyfriend Marc Lambert have been together for a year now, the idea of tying the knot remains far on the horizon.
“Kumpleto na ako as a woman, as a mother, may Ceanna na ako. Siguro sa personal life, ayoko kasing mag-expect,” she started.
Vina continued, “I always say… ayokong magsalita ng tapos kasi walang makakasiguro talaga sa kung anong mangyayari sa buhay ko. So, I’m just playing it by ear kung saan mapupunta ang relasyon ko with my present boyfriend.”
But that doesn’t mean that she is not praying for her own happy ending.
“Oo, bakit naman hindi? Hindi naman ako nakikipaglaro sa kanya. This is a serious relationship naman. But ending up together, it is God’s will and in God’s time,” she ended.
Catch Vina @ 30 happening on October 14 at the KIA Theater with guests Robin Padilla, Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Shaina Magdayao, Daniel Padilla, Shaina Magdayao, and her daughter Ceanna.
